I have been investing in a variety of real estate projects since 2001, and has big plans for the future that I am actively pursuing. From my first investment – an office building for my accounting firm – to long-term buy and hold, to condo projects, to rent-to-owns to my latest ventures in multi-family, mixed use, self-storage, and short-term rentals – I use these experiences to guide everything I do for my clients, and for those I work with in joint ventures or as co-investors. From my time as a sole proprietor, with one investment, to now, as a tax partner at BDO Canada, who owns or has joint ventures in hundreds of units, these lessons are something I share and apply each and every day.

Helping clients through the ins and outs of a real estate deal, from the perspective of being a tax accountant and real estate investor, drives my daily interactions. My experiences with thousands of real estate investors over the years, learning from their successes and hiccups, allows me to use that knowledge now in my focus on serious investors. Sharing current and future projects, and how lessons learned can apply to improve my clients’ ventures, is fun and fulfilling.
