Canadian corporate tax deadlines
Year-end | Deadline | Details |
July 31 | August 31 | Date to have your bookkeeping to us if we do your tax returns and financial statements. For details on what we need for the year-end, please contact your accounting manager or director. Not sure who this is? Ask me! |
June 30 | August 31 | Taxes owing due if your company earns inactive income (such as rent, interest, dividends). |
May 31 | August 31 | Generally speaking, taxes owing due if your company earns active income which was less than $500,000 last year (for all associated companies). Exceptions apply. |
February 28 | August 31 | Tax return due. |
February 28 | September 15 | If there was a year-end bonus, then the payroll remittance is generally due unless you are an “early remitter” and need to remit sooner. |
