Underused Housing Tax deadlines

April 30 | April 15 | UHT returns must be filed for properties owned in the previous calendar year. |
Canadian personal tax deadlines

April 30 | April 28 | Personal tax returns (T1s) due. Please note if you have a personally owned proprietorship or partnership that appears on your personal tax return, you have until June 15 to file your personal tax return, although taxes are still owed as of April 30. |
April 30 | April 28 | Pay final balance of personal income tax owing, if any. |
April 30 | April 28 | Submit foreign property disclosures. |
April 30 | April 28 | Submit GST/HST final balance on self-employed income. |
April 30 | April 15 | Submit s. 216 return (non-residents); if a CRA approved NR6 was not received your deadline for filing will be later but taxes are still due. |
Canadian corporate tax deadlines
Year-end | Deadline | Details |
March 31 | April 30 | Date to have your bookkeeping to us if we do your tax returns and financial statements. For details on what we need for the year-end, please contact your accounting manager or director. Not sure who this is? Ask me! |
February 28 | April 30 | Taxes owing due if your company earns inactive income (such as rent, interest, dividends). |
January 31 | April 30 | Generally speaking, taxes owing due if your company earns active income which was less than $500,000 last year (for all associated companies). Exceptions apply. |
October 31 | April 30 | Tax return due. |
October 31 | May 15 | If there was a year-end bonus, then the payroll remittance is generally due unless you are an “early remitter” and need to remit sooner. |
