Family trust deadlines
Deadline | Details |
Early December | Contact us to ensure your family trust is in order. We will help you meet the December 31st deadline. |
December 31st | Complete year-end resolutions for family trusts, including any income allocations, and ensure compliance with trust requirements and regulatory expectations. |
Canadian corporate tax deadlines
Year-end | Deadline | Details |
October 31 | November 30 | Date to have your bookkeeping to us if we do your tax returns and financial statements. For details on what we need for the year-end, please contact your accounting manager or director. Not sure who this is? Ask me! |
September 30 | November 30 | Taxes owing due if your company earns inactive income (such as rent, interest, dividends). |
August 31 | November 30 | Taxes owing due if your company earns active income which was less than $500,000 last year (for all associated companies). Exceptions apply. |
May 31 | November 30 | Tax return due. |
May 31 | December 15 | If there was a year-end bonus, then the payroll remittance is generally due unless you are an “early remitter” and need to remit sooner. |
