Canadian personal tax deadlines
Deadline | Details |
October 31 | T1134 Information Return Related to Controlled and Non-Controlled Foreign Affiliates – Personal deadline for T1134 for individuals. The T1134 form is the disclosure requirements for certain foreign ownership investments you may have. There are trick questions so please be careful filling this out. |
Canadian corporate tax deadlines
Year-end | Deadline | Details |
September 30 | October 31 | Date to have your bookkeeping to us if we do your tax returns and financial statements. For details on what we need for the year-end, please contact your accounting manager or director. Not sure who this is? Ask me! |
August 31 | October 31 | Taxes owing due if your company earns inactive income (such as rent, interest, dividends). |
July 31 | October 31 | Taxes owing due if your company earns active income which was less than $500,000 last year (for all associated companies). Exceptions apply. |
April 30 | October 31 | Tax return due. |
April 30 | November 15 | If there was a year-end bonus, then the payroll remittance is generally due unless you are an “early remitter” and need to remit sooner. |
